The 1924 Ford Model TT was the truck version of the iconic Model T, built for heavier-duty work. It featured a strengthened frame and a 1-ton payload capacity, ideal for farming and delivery. Powered by the same 2.9L inline-four engine as the Model T, producing about 20 horsepower. The TT had a longer wheelbase (125 inches) compared to the Model T's 100-inch wheelbase. A worm-drive rear axle gave it more torque for hauling heavy loads. Originally sold as a chassis only—buyers would add custom-built beds or cargo boxes. It had solid rubber rear tires and optional pneumatic front tires for smoother rides. Top speed was around 15 mph, emphasizing power over speed. By 1924, the TT was gaining popularity with over 300,000 units sold. It played a major role in early American commerce and is now a sought-after antique.
